We are pleased to announce the 6th annual walk/run benefitting the Flagler County Free Clinic. The “Run 4 the Free Clinic” 4 mile walk/run is scheduled for Sunday, June 9, 2013 at WadsworthPark in FlaglerBeach. It is our sincere hope that you will help support the mission of the Free Clinic by becoming a sponsor of this event.
Given the high unemployment rate in FlaglerCounty we have thousands of people without health insurance. In fact we estimate 23% of our adult population between 19-64 (11,900) do not have health insurance. The Flagler County Free Clinic has been helping fill this void since 2005. In 2012 we saw our 10,000th patient!!
The clinic operates two Saturday mornings, two Thursday evenings, and most recently, one Tuesday evening a month. Operating the Free Clinic is by no means “free”. We pay facility expenses as well as the expected expenses for supplies to operate a medical clinic. We have to raise money to be able to provide healthcare to those we serve. Our primary fundraiser is our annual run/walk.

The race starts at 7:30am on Sunday, June 9 at Wadsworth Park (Flagler Beach).
Cover Florida Health Care Program During the 2008 legislative session, my administration worked with legislators of both parties to secure unanimous approval of the Cover Florida Health Care Access Program.
